This Ice Cream book is a prototype concept for a series of 6 books being developed to teach 300 of the most used words along with 300 rhyming nouns. So far, this first book has successfully taught hundreds of Japanese kids aged 3~12 learn to read English in a fun and easy way. Each page introduces two new commonly used words along with previously taught words and a few nouns with accompanying pictures hints. As the child reads along with Chris Sensei they will naturally develop a vocabulary of the most essential words as well as many nouns and rhymes. This method of memorization is using implicit memory, similar to riding a bicycle rather than explicit memory like the way we try to memorize dates, facts and rules.
